I can't wait to see all the details that i didn't notice the first time around, in the pictures. Spitz and Peck is in the spring/summer 2012 issue of the knot. They have done a clients wedding at The Royalton and was voted as 1 of the 16 perfect weddings.

New Yorks White Canopy Idea

When getting married under a chuppah, the options are really endless in what frames the tallit.  Typically you need four posts to raise the cloth or tallit (the Jewish prayer shawl).  But minus the cloth, the chuppah makes a great wedding arch or arbor for all faiths.

We recently came across this absolutely fabulous and over the top winter white chuppah that is ideal for a black tie ballroom wedding or a winter forest inspired evening and we had to share.  The lovely and talented Butterfly Floral & Event Design created this spectacular showing of cherry blossom branches, roses, hydrangea, and more.  Now this might be a bit more lavish than the average chuppah but it certainly pays tribute to the bride and groom and gets gets itching with excitement for what's to come at the reception.

 

Fantastic Orange Wedding Flowers

Oh so orange can be oh so beautiful, especially in late summer and fall weddings.  Today we're picked a few orange palettes that go way beyond fruit inspiration.

Spitz & Peck created this sophisticated array of orange anchored wedding flowers for a Spanish style wedding.

The Disney Inspiration: Royal Wedding Cakes

Get ready Disney fans - we've got our favorite princess-inspired wedding ideas coming over the next several days!  (yes, we admit it, we're recovering Disney addicts over here at Bridal Bar.  We may never fully grow up - but that's okay!)  Onto the weddings...

Kate and Cinderella may in fact be princesses, but that doesn't mean they have a monopoly on royal-worthy weddings! If you loved what you saw at this years Royal Wedding, or always dreamed of having an elegant wedding fit for a Queen, then we're here to help today with a very important element... your cake!

Inspired by the magical offerings Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has for a princess-worthy wedding and by Kate and William's dreamy wedding, we've rounded up the perfect royal-worthy, all-white wedding cakes. Now all you have to do is decide...traditional or modern?

As you would expect, the Duke & Duchess went for a traditional wedding cake that was a true showstopper. Cakes may be optional nowadays at a wedding, but sometimes it's refreshing to see traditional decorating techniques like piping and elaborate sugar flowers adorning tall tiered confections.

Perhaps you like the tradition of a white wedding cake but want to put your own spin on it. Newer techniques like the lace and applique-inspired versions below may be just for you! Take it a step further and serve individual cakes to each guest (making each person feel like royalty!), or replace floral centerpieces with small cakes that are just big enough to feed the table, and elaborate enough to look fabulous all on their own!
